A Tradition of Giving: Ebony Widow's Foundation Returns to Amucha
On December 27, 2025, the Ebony Widow's Foundation (the charitable arm of Ebony Hospitals Ltd.) journeyed to the town of Amucha in Imo State for its annual day of support and celebration. This particular location holds deep personal significance for our leadership, as Amucha is the cherished hometown of our Chief Medical Director, Dr Innocent Ekwem, and our Deputy Managing Director, Dr Mrs C.L. Ekwem.
A Day of Worship and Gratitude

The event commenced with a soulful church service, bringing together the community in a spirit of faith and unity. It was a time to reflect on the year’s blessings and to strengthen the bonds that tie the Ebony Hospitals family to the people of Amucha.

Spreading Joy Through Gifts and Support

While the day was centered on spiritual fellowship, it was also a practical demonstration of love. Our directors, Dr. Innocent Ekwem (seen in his grey attire with gold trimmings) and Dr. Mrs. C.L. Ekwem (gracefully adorned in lime green with a matching headgear), personally oversaw the distribution of gifts.

The foundation was honoured to share:
- Cash Donations: Providing direct financial support to help the widows manage seasonal and household expenses.
- Essential Gifts: Carefully prepared packages to ensure every attendee felt the warmth and care of the festive season.
- Communal Dining: Sharing meals and time together, reinforcing our commitment to the community's well-being.

Our Roots, Our Commitment
Returning to Amucha is more than just a philanthropic mission; it is a homecoming. For the Ekwem family and the entire Ebony Hospitals team, this annual outreach is a way to honor our heritage and ensure that as we grow, we lift our community with us.

A heartfelt moment capturing the spirit of the day in Amucha.
"True service is not just about what happens in the hospital wards, but how we show up for our neighbours and families in the places we call home." — Management, Ebony Hospitals Ltd.
